To compete in The Ohio State Cup, teams must be US Club Soccer carded. The tournament is sponsored by the Ohio Soccer Association, which is a nonprofit organization. Those teams that are not US Club Soccer-carded may also participate as guest teams, but will not be allowed to participate in the state championship. Interested teams can apply for the tournament on their website. The deadline for entry is April 15.

The state cup is held in Columbus every year and is organized by Columbus Futsal. The organization is an excellent choice for this tournament, as they have superior facilities and experienced referees. Teams from other states are welcome to participate. The Division Champions of the State Cup will receive a paid registration to the USYF Regional Championship. The USYF holds many USYF State Cups across the country, and Columbus Futsal has the organization experience to make the tournament a success.
