In addition to being a former goalkeeper, Kim Kern Soccer is also a coach. In addition to being a NC State assistant coach, she has served as the Director of Operations at NC State since 2012. She was a four-year starting goalkeeper and has a goals-against-average of 1.29. She also earned Academic All-District First Team honors during her junior season. In 2016, she joined the Eutectic program as the Director of Goalkeeping.

In 2010, Kern was named the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Academic All-Big-12 First Team. She also recorded four shutouts while starting all 19 games for the Wolfpack. In addition, she was named the ACC All-Academic Team and was named to the Big 12 Rookie Team. She also scored her first collegiate goal against Virginia. Jaimel Johnson, a former NC State University goalkeeper, was an NSCAA/Adidas All-American and a member of the U.S. National Team pool in 2003. Kim Kern Soccer was a goalkeeping coach at NC State University from 2012-2016 and was Director of Goalkeeping at NC FC from 2017-2018. As a player, Kern was also a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and played soccer at the University of Tennessee from 2005-2008.

A four-year starter for the Framingham State University women’s soccer team, Kim Kern holds eight NCAA and national records in women’s soccer. She was named to the All-MASCAC First Team in 2008 and was a two-time all-conference pick. As a goalkeeper, Kern has made 324 saves and recorded 15 shutouts in her career. While at Framingham State, Kern coached the Rams’ girls varsity team and set several school records, including the highest hit total in one season.

Kim Kern Soccer success in coaching women’s soccer has positioned her as one of the best in the country. She has been a member of the Framingham State Athletic Hall of Fame since 2011 and is about to enter her eighth year as head coach of the Rams women’s soccer program. She has guided the Rams to ECAC Div. III New England Championship in her first season, and has led the team to multiple MASCAC and ECAC tournaments. She has also been an outstanding role model for many players, and she strives to instill those values into her players.

Kim Kern is the goalkeeper for the CMS men’s soccer team. He has earned first-team all-league honors, and has helped lead the team to CIF Division 5 playoffs in 2021. He played club soccer for the Strikers FC in Irvine, California. When he is not playing for the Men’s Soccer Team, he plays for the college’s women’s soccer team. The goalkeeper earned first-team all-league honors during his high school career.

NC State Soccer is the intercollegiate athletic team of North Carolina State University. The team plays its home games at Wolfpack Field. It is located in Raleigh, North Carolina. This university is the fifth-ranked team in the nation. In terms of enrollment, the Wolfpack is the most successful college soccer program in the country. The NC State Wolfpack is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Division I college soccer conference.

The 1991 NC State soccer team had 11 different players score goals. Leon Krapf is the top goalkeeper with nine saves, while Kuda Muskwe leads the team with ten points. Both Johnson and Schweitzer are still coaching soccer in the Triangle. In addition, they are presidents of the Carolina RailHawks and have been inducted into the N.C. Soccer Hall of Fame.
